We understand both sides
Research institutions and industrial companies work differently. We translate between them, so goals, language and expectations match before work begins.

DAP Aachen GmbH manages projects, transfers technology and advises companies on digital and additive manufacturing, so that new scientific findings reach industrial practice.
Our work follows a result from the first research finding to its use in industrial operation.
DAP Aachen GmbH is a company based in Aachen that works at the point where scientific research meets industrial need. We manage projects, support the implementation of research results and advise on the transfer of technology.
Our main field is digital and additive manufacturing, including 3D printing. These technologies change how parts are designed, produced and supplied, but moving them from a research setting into a working company takes planning, coordination and a clear understanding of both worlds. That is the work we do.
We also support projects in other technology fields. Whenever a new method, material or process has to be assessed, adapted and introduced, we help the people involved agree on goals, split the work, and keep it moving.
Defined scope, responsibilities and milestones from the start.
Results are judged by whether they can be used in production.
Regular, plain communication with partners and teams.
Our services cover the full path of a technology project: organising it, adapting it to industry and passing the knowledge on.
Request a conversationWe plan, coordinate and monitor research, development and implementation projects, including those with several partners from industry and science. Scope, schedule, budget and reporting stay visible to everyone involved.
PlanningCoordinationReportingWe help companies assess whether a scientific result fits their products and processes, and then define the steps needed to adapt it, test it and bring it into regular operation.
FeasibilityPilot projectsAdoptionWe connect research institutions and companies and structure the exchange of know-how, so both sides understand what is being transferred, what is required to use it and who is responsible for each step.
Know-how exchangePartner matchingWe advise on the use of 3D printing and digital production methods: where they make sense, how they fit into existing workflows, and what needs to be prepared in design, data and process organisation.
3D printingDigital productionProcess integrationOur approach is not limited to additive manufacturing. We apply the same project and transfer methods to other technical areas where new solutions must be evaluated and introduced.
Technology assessmentImplementation planningTechnology projects rarely fail because of the technology alone. They fail in the gaps between teams, expectations and timelines. We are built to close those gaps.
Research institutions and industrial companies work differently. We translate between them, so goals, language and expectations match before work begins.
Digital and additive manufacturing is our core field. Advice comes from subject knowledge rather than general theory.
Clear milestones, responsibilities and documentation keep projects on track.
We aim for solutions your team can actually use, not only reports.
We are based on the Aachen campus and available for direct talks.
